[Special Seminar] Open research publishing: Supporting a holistic approach to research evaluation

学術出版の形は、オープンサイエンスの潮流と技術革新により日々大きく変化しています。インパクトファクターなど計量書誌データによる研究評価が主流となるなか、伝統的なピアレビューの過程を可視化することで、研究の質管理を研究者の手に取り戻す動きもあります。「海外出版月間」特別セミナーでは、研究者による評価に基づく出版プラットフォームにより新たな研究評価の形を示唆する出版社、F1000のRebecca Lawrence氏を招き、オープンサイエンス時代における研究成果出版と研究評価のあり方を考えます。 ＊学術研究支援室では、6月を「海外出版月間」とし、海外出版を応援する様々なイベントを開催しています。

Academic publishing is undergoing rapid and disruptive changes. Pillars of the status quo such as the bundling of research findings in to journals, the supremacy of the “impact factor” and the non-transparency of peer-review are increasingly being called into question – both on grounds of their legitimacy and efficiency. As guest speaker during our “International Publishing Month” we welcome Rebecca Lawrence of F1000 – a service platform based on the concept of providing fast and open access to research results by putting quality control back into the hands of an egalitarian community of scholars.
