As of January 1, 2025, Kyoto University Research Administration Center (KURA) has been integrated into the newly established Kyoto University Office of Research Acceleration.

Kyoto University Office of Research Acceleration supports the free and outstanding “creation of knowledge” across all fields at Kyoto University. Established as a new support organization, it brings together faculty, administrative staff, and specialized personnel, such as university research administrators (URAs), who collaborate to enhance the strategic approach and system of research promotion through thorough analysis of research activities.

The Office will undertake the following tasks and provide comprehensive management services to promote research:

• Analyzing and evaluating research activities
• Providing research support
• Ensuring research integrity
• Proposing research strategies and planning
• Developing the research environment
• Recruiting and training a diverse range of specialized personnel
